Hello friends!
My name is Dorina.

I was born and raised in Chilliwack. I have been a nurse for 5 years and most recently, I have been working on a medical unit in Hope, BC.

For several years God has been calling me to serve Him in the capacity of missions. I have had the privilege to travel to various countries in South America and Africa and experience life from a different perspective. To nations that are materialistically poor but spiritually wealthy.

Now God has opened the door for me to volunteer in the role of Hope Center Facilitator with Mercy Ships. I hope to be serving in Madagascar from February until December 2025. This is a huge step of faith, but I place my firm trust in God that He will guide and protect me. I’m so excited to see how God will use me in this position to build and strengthen His kingdom in a place that has captured my heart many years ago.

My Position

The HOPE Center Facilitator assists in providing administrative and supervisory support at the land-based HOPE Center, facilitating high quality non-medical care for patients and their caregivers during their time at the HOPE Center. These facilities exist to provide a place for patients and their caregivers to stay while waiting for or recovering from surgery. I will lead and facilitate the daily activities of the HOPE Center and the local Day Crew to promote the physical and spiritual health of the patients and caregivers.
