As I reflect on this season of life, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for the way God has woven relationships into my everyday experience. Living far from home, apart from my regular family and friends, has certainly had its challenges. There are days when I miss the familiarity, the comfort, and the shared history of the people I’ve known for years. But even in the absence of what once felt like home, God has not left me without love or connection. He’s blessed me with something beautifully unexpected: friendships with fellow crew mates and day crew.

They are individuals who have become like family, each bringing their own personality, joy, and perspective into my life. We laugh together, carry one another’s burdens, and celebrate the little victories of each day. Whether it’s through shared work, spontaneous conversations, or quiet moments of prayer and encouragement, God has been using these relationships to shape me, stretch me, and fill me in ways I never anticipated. There’s a special bond that comes from serving alongside one another, sharing meals, and leaning on each other through the long days.
And then there’s the day crew who are faithful, joyful souls who show up each day with a warmth that is simply contagious. Despite language barriers or cultural differences, there is something so deeply unifying about the way we work together. They’ve taught me so much about grace, and about the beauty of human connection that transcends all borders.

Together, these relationships have become a reflection of God’s faithfulness and provision. In a place where I expected to maybe feel a little lonely, He has given me community. In moments where I wondered who I’d lean on, He placed people beside me who remind me daily of His love and care.
